TLDR:

  • Air France-KLM has partnered with software provider Accelya to implement its Cargo Revenue Accounting (CRA) solution, which will optimize the airline’s cargo billing, settlement, and accounting processes.
  • The new contract expands on the existing partnership between the two companies and will enable Air France-KLM to deliver personalized and dynamic offers to its customers.

Air France-KLM has selected Accelya’s multi-airline variant of the CRA solution, which will be used across the entire group. The solution offers reliable and accurate financial monitoring capabilities that enhance cash flow, revenue recognition, and reporting processes.

By implementing Accelya’s fully integrated Cargo Revenue Accounting platform, Air France-KLM is transitioning from an in-house build capability and gaining access to an extensive suite of cargo solutions to manage the journey of shipments from offer to settlement.

The CRA solution is easily integrated into airlines’ existing operational and financial systems and industry platforms such as SIS and CASS. Air France-KLM joins over 30 other airlines that are already powered by Accelya’s integrated cargo solutions.

Joren Laeven, VP controlling commercial at Air France – KLM Cargo, stated that the decision to invest in a new cargo revenue accounting solution is a key milestone in the airline’s overall technology transformation. The airline was impressed with Accelya’s CRA solution and its capability to manage multi-airline requirements.

Andrew Wilcock, chief revenue officer at Accelya, expressed his excitement about extending the partnership with Air France-KLM and highlighted how the Cargo Revenue Accounting solution can help the airline optimize revenue, cash flow, and settlement processes.
