Ex-KPMG Deputy Chair Melanie Richards CBE has been appointed as the new chair of Azets, a private equity-backed firm that provides corporate finance and capital markets services. Richards will work with Group CEO Chris Horne to lead the firm through its next phase of growth, which involves an ambitious acquisition programme. At KPMG, Richards was focused on environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues, including risk and reputation, culture, and diversity and inclusion. Azets, which was formed in 2017 by private equity firm Hg, is ranked 9th in the Accountancy Daily Top 75.
