TLDR:

– Andersen has merged with Reibman, a San Diego-based tax planning and compliance firm.

– The move aims to expand Andersen’s presence in Southern California, home to the second-largest population of Californians.

Andersen, the international network formed by former partners from Arthur Andersen, has expanded its presence in Southern California by merging with Reibman, a tax compliance and planning firm in San Diego. The new San Diego office will be led by managing director Allen Reibman, and his team of professionals will join Andersen’s Private Client Services practice. The move is part of Andersen’s ongoing expansion strategy, which has seen the firm rapidly grow its global network.

The new San Diego office will enable Andersen to better serve clients in Southern California, which is home to the second-largest population of Californians and has a high concentration of wealth in areas like Del Mar, La Jolla, and Rancho Santa Fe. The merger with Reibman will bring additional benefits and expertise to Andersen’s clients in the region. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Andersen has experienced significant growth since a group of partners from WTAS revived the Andersen name a decade ago by creating Andersen Tax. The firm has been expanding rapidly around the world, building the Andersen Global network. Last year, Andersen added 45 professionals in Orange County, California; Des Moines, Iowa; and Pittsburgh. The firm now has over 2,000 people in 24 cities across the U.S. and more than 15,000 professionals worldwide.
